MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
Monday 13 November 2017

PRESENT - Councillors – A Jones, (Chair), , Mrs J Burley, Mrs L Vale, P Redfern, , Mrs K Coe, R Bell, D Tagg, R Coe N Jenkinson and D West.
APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE - Councillors Mrs M Mycock, D Jenkinson, Mrs S Sharland,(ill) P Smith and Mrs J Slawson (holidays) .
ALSO PRESENT – R Smith Clerk to the Parish Council, County Councillor Mrs L Chilton District, J Gosden and Mrs Landenberger.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
1. Mrs Landenberger of Ticknall Road reported that she and her neighbours were still experiencing problems with the Mill Wheel public house. The Mill Wheel are still pursuing their intensions to put double yellow lines on the entrance to the public house. The Parish Council has confirmed that the road is privately owned by the Mill Wheel. The advice given to Mrs Landenberger was that the Parish Council has no powers to intervene in this matter, however if the occupiers feel they are being intimidated then it may become a Police matter.
District Council reports 1. Councillor Mrs Coe reported that Part II of the Local Plan has now been approved by SDDC.
County Council report 1. County Councillor Mrs L Chilton that the new Dial-a-Bus was now in operation. The amendments the Clerk mentioned at the last meeting have now been made. 2. County Councillor Mrs L Chilton informed the consultation on next year's Budget has now passed. 3. County Councillor Mrs L Chilton reported that talks continue to be held with Midway FC and DCC (Rob Lowe).

The minutes were approved as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

MATTERS ARISING 1. The Clerk presented a monthly update on all outstanding matters; this is attached to the minutes. 2. The Clerk reported that the hedge on Ticknall Road has now been cut. 3. County Councillor Mrs L Chilton said she would investigate why the hedge at Manor View had not been cut. 4. It was agreed to have a Finance Working Group on 4 December and a Recreation Working Group on 20 November both at Kendricks Close.

HIGHWAYS, PAVEMENTS & PUBLIC FOOTPATHS 1. Councillor Mrs Burley reported that weeds are already appearing on the recently resurfaced footpaths on Goseley RESOLVED Clerk to contact SDDC. 2. Councillor Mrs Burley reported that some people are having difficulties on the footpath between Pear Tree Close and Brook Street. RESOLVED Clerk to investigate. 3. Councillors Jones said had received a phone call from HVRA requesting planters be installed at the entrances to Hartshorne Parish. RESOLVED Clerk to investigate 4. The meeting was informed that Pat Corcoran no longer able to maintain the 'Village Green' at Brook Street RESOLVED Clerk to investigate

PARISH NEWSLETTER AND WEBSITE 1. Councillor N Jenkinson reported that the website had been updated with new events coming shortly. 2. Councillor N Jenkinson Informed the meeting of a cinema night at the Dethick on 26 November following a similar successful evening in September.
