PRESENT - Councillors – A Jones, (Chair), Mrs M Mycock,  D Jenkinson, P Smith, Mrs S Sharland Mrs J Slawson and N Jenkinson.

County Council report

County Councillor L Chilton reported on varies topics that are being discussed at DCC  including speeding at Hartshorne School, gritting at Repton Road ,Fly Tipping along Coal Lane, street lighting on Goseley Estate and the consultation on reduction in the  library service.

County Councillor L Chilton said that with regard to traffic at the school the County were encouraging 'Walking to School'

MINUTES OF THE Ordinary Meeting on held on 19 March 2018                                                                     

The minutes were approved as  a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

POLICE MATTERS                                                                                                                                       

1.    No Police present and no written report. The Clerk reported that no written report had been received as indicated by Councillor Mrs Coe at the March meeting.

 MATTERS ARISING                                                                                                                                    

1.        The Clerk presented a monthly update on all outstanding matters; this is attached to the minutes.         

2.        Councillor N Jenkinson reported that there was a great deal of litter at Boundary. RESOLVED Clerk to mention problem to the Lengthsman.

 HIGHWAYS, PAVEMENTS & PUBLIC FOOTPATHS

1. It  was reported that there is a large potholes near to 12 Brook Street, on Sandcliffe Road near to Longlands Road and near to the entrance of Short Hazel Farm, Manchester Lane.

RESOLVED Clerk to  contact DCC

PARISH NEWSLETTER AND WEBSITE                                                                                                       

1. Councillor N Jenkinson said that the newsletter had now been printed and delivery was well under way. The Chairman thanked all Councillors for helping distribute them and congratulated Councillor N Jenkinson on an excellent publication..

RECREATION GROUNDS & ALLOTMENTS

1. The Clerk reported that he was in discussions with Tiffany Heaven about using both recreation grounds for soccer training during the summer months. She is currently running similar groups in Derby.

RESOLVED that this project should be encouraged and were necessary make minor improvements to the facilities such as painting goalposts and tidying up the changing facilities.

1. The Clerk reported that he had attended a very informative meeting on Internal and External Audit held at DALC's Offices at Cromford.

1.     Appointment of Internal Auditor 2017/18 - Mrs J  Storer.

2.     From 1 April 2018 the National Minimum hourly rate has increased from £7.50 to £7.83 (increase

0.33p per Hour). Currently the Lengthsman is paid £0.50p above the Minimum  hourly

    RESOLVED -  that the Lenghtsman hourly rate is increased by £0.33p per hour wef 1 April 2018.

 

Please Note: March Payment Schedule Cheque 103953 has been cancelled and payment to Hartshorne Charities was made by Direct Transfer on 29 March

RESOLVED Clerk to continue discussions

•       SDDC - re bogus advertising of planning application
