District Council report - 1. District Councillor reported that since the last meeting the District Council had been putting the committee structure in place

MINUTES OF THE Ordinary Meeting on held on 13 May 2019.
The minutes were then approved as a correct record and signed by the Chairman. Matter Arising None

POLICE MATTERS 1. Councillor Seaton reported that he had had a response from the Police in respect of a speeding police vehicles. They said all officers will be reminded of their obligation to keep to speed limits. 2. Councillors Mrs Burley and Mrs Mycock have recently inspected the recreation grounds and found various discarded rubbish including a needle. The Police have been notified. The two Councillors will bring this item up at the Area Forum meeting in 18 June. 3. Councillors Mrs Burley and Mrs Mycock were also concerned about drug dealing on the Estate. Again this will be brought up at the Area Forum meeting in 18 June.

MATTERS ARISING |
Prior to the start of the formal part of the meeting the Clerk reported that he had received 2 applications to be co-opted on to the Parish Council, Mr Peter Smith and Mr Derek West both former Parish Councillors up to May 2019.
RESOLVED that Mr Peter Smith and Mr Derek West are co-opted on to the Parish Council as ward members for Hartshorne and Goseley Ward
The Clerk presented a monthly update on all outstanding matters; this is attached to the minutes..

HIGHWAYS, PAVEMENTS & PUBLIC FOOTPATHS
1. Councillors asked if there was any progress on a Speed watch being carried out within the Parish. Councillor Mrs Coe to be asked what progress has been made. It was noted that volunteers from outside the area could now be used. 2. Mrs Mycock reported a broken kerb stone at the junction of Elmsdale Road and Hartstill Road. 3. It was noted that the speed sign on Sandcliffe Road has been moved to Ticknall for the next 3 months. 4. Councillor Smith asked if any progress had been made to erect the footpath sign on Ticknall Road RESOLVED Clerk to contact developer 5. Councillor Smith reported that the hedge on the corner of Ticknall Road near to the Saw Mill requires repair. RESOLVED Clerk to contact DCC. 6. Councillor Seaton reported that there was large amounts of dog mess along the footpath at the rear of Leawood Road. Councillor Seaton was given a supply of notices to erect.
7. The Parish Council has been asked to comment on proposed street names on the new Broomy Farm development. There was plenty debate with some members liking the proposals and others firmly against. However a general consensus was agreed that they are in favour of the naming after horse breeds but some of the names were a little obscure and perhaps difficult to pronounce and spell and as an alternative perhaps more well known breeds could be used. The use of 'Garth' was not liked by most members. 8. Councillor Seaton mentioned a broken manhole cover at the junction of Sandcliffe Road and Sandlands RESOLVED Clerk to contact DCC. 9. It was reported that gullies at Ticknall Road near to the Sawmill require clearing RESOLVED Clerk to contact DCC.

PARISH NEWSLETTER AND WEBSITE 1. Councillor Jenkinson reported that that the current web site did not meet the requirements for today's demands. Clerk to discuss with Councillor Jenkinson a way forward.

RECREATION GROUNDS & ALLOTMENTS 1. Councillors Mrs Mycock and Mrs Burley reported JKW had returned at Salisbury Drive. RESOLVED Clerk to contact T H Heath Ltd who carried out the work several years ago. 2. The Clerk reported that Blackfordby FC will no longer using Salisbury Drive football pitch. RESOLVED Clerk to try a find a new tenant 3. The Clerk reported that an allotment had recently become available. It was noted that some of the allotments were looking untidy. RESOLVED vacancy to be advertised on the web site and Clerk to inspect the site

1. Annual Audit of Accounts 2018/19 - The Clerk reported that the Audit return had now been submitted on time and all appropriate notices had been placed on the noticeboards. Copies have also been submitted to the website.

GENERAL CORRESPONDENCE Correspondence • DALC - Nominations to join the Derbyshire Association of Local Council’s Executive Committee. • Query re white powder appearing at certain points in and around Pear Tree Close/ Repton Road and Brook Street This has now been discovered to be chalk dust laid for a running club. • Area Forum - 18 June at Woodville Methodist Church. • Royal British Legion - Poppy Appeal 2019 RESOLVED to order 30 additional poppies. • Goseley Communty Centre- Thank you letter re donation for new doors.
