MINUTES OF THE Ordinary Meeting on held on 16  December 2019.

 

The minutes were then approved as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

POLICE MATTERS

1.    No reports from the Police.  

2.    It was reported that there was some damage at the Community Centre over the new year, this was captured on their CCTV and the Police have been informed.

 MATTERS ARISING

1. The Clerk presented a monthly update on all outstanding matters; this is attached to the minutes.

HIGHWAYS, PAVEMENTS & PUBLIC FOOTPATHS

1. The Clerk reported that DCC had recently responded to queries raised by Councillor Seaton regarding speeding along Sandcliffe Road. DCC decision was that Hartshorne Parish Council were not entitled to a permeant speed sign even if the Parish were prepared to pay for the installation. Following a discussion

RESOLVED Clerk to contact Ticknall PC to see if they are prepared to finance half the cost of a speed sign cover the 6 month period when the existing sign is not available within the Parish.

PRESENT - Councillors – Mrs M Mycock (Chair), P Smith, D West, Mrs J Slawson, J Seaton, G.Tubey, Mrs N Landsborough, R Bell,  P Redfern and N Jenkinson

 

APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE - Councillor A Jones, Mrs S Sharland, Mrs J Burley and  Mrs K Coe: District Councillors S Taylor, M Gee and M Dawson: County Councillor Mrs L Chilton

 

ALSO, PRESENT – R Smith Clerk to the Parish Council. 

2.    Parish Councillors were not satisfied with the reply received from DCC and

RESOLVED the Clerk requesting further consideration to the improvement of Dunnsmoor Lane.

3.    It was reported that the E-on sub-station was in a poor state of repair following recent repairs being carried out

RESOLVED Clerk to contact E-on requesting repairs are carried out immediately.

PARISH NEWSLETTER AND WEBSITE                                                                                        

1.     Councillor Jenkinson reported that the site has now been updated. He hopes to be taking photos of all Councillors to be included on the web site.

RECREATION GROUNDS & ALLOTMENTS

1.       The Clerk reported he had requested that the football pitch has been cut.

2.       Councillor Smith reported that the hedge along the side of Kendricks Close had not been cut.

RESOLVED Clerk to contact contractor 

3.       Clerk reported that he will be contacting the Allotment holders to check their availability for next year.

RESOLVED  Chair signed Form for Concurrent Claim for 2019/20

 

2.         S106-  future funding

Clerk reported that he had recently (13 January) received from SDDC allocations of s106 funding from several developments within the Parish. The funding indicted where the funds should be allocated. The Clerk was unsure when funding would become available

RESOLVED Clerk to seek further clarification on allocation and when funds become available.
