Facilities in the Village

You can worship at the local church of St Peters, set in upper Hartshorne.

Until recently you could have visited the Methodist Chapel in Repton Road, but due to reduced congregation numbers the building has been sold for redevelopment to a private dwelling. If you wish to view the proposed development plans then visit this link; Methodist Chapel Development
(14/12/10)

There is a primary school in the village. See the Hartshorne School website.

There is plenty of B&B accommodation in the village and neighbouring villages. Stay with ensuite at either The Mill Wheel or The Bulls Head 01283 215299.

You can have your hair cut at the hairdressers, have a drink and something to eat at a number of pubs and get a bus to neighbouring village and towns.

Oh, and you can post a parcel or letter to your friends at the Post Office whose services are available in the Dethick Hall, Manchester Lane on Tuesday mornings from 8:30 to 10:30.
(09/11/11)

There are community rooms available for rental within the village either the Dethick Hall on Manchester Lane, The Goseley Community Centre on Hartshill road on the Goseley Estate, or the Meeting Room at Kendricks Close.
