This Archive
Valuable information
There is much valuable information about
Hartshorne that should be made available to the public and should
also be protected against loss. This archive section of the Hartshorne
web site achieves this aim.
Various local historians have contributed
to the material in this web site and all of this material is available
within this archive. At some points in the archive you will be linked
to the actual page containing the information. The actual position
of the text within the web site is not important other than it can
be referenced from this archive ensuring that this archive acts
as a definitive index of all the information that is available.
Old and new
As well as historic information, there is
also relatively new content as well, e.g.. Parish Council meeting
minutes. Any information that is relevant to Hartshorne now or in
the future can be kept in this archive.
Pictures as well
Not only text based material but photographs
old and new can be included in the Picture Gallery which is saved
along with the archive.
Why is 'Archive' highlighted in a different
colour on the menu?
Well, delving into an archive is not to
everyone's taste and we didn't want people to think that the whole
site contained this much detail. So we made it a different colour
on the menu just to remind you that you were in a special place.
Backup
All the information on this web site including
the archive is backed up within Hartshorne and also at a UK data
centre on a 24 hour basis, every day and so is far more secure that
paper publications held in even the most protected libraries.
Use the menu on the left to select the part
of the archive you want to access, or just browse...
