The Public Record Office
The national archive of the United Kingdom. Preserves the records of central government and the courts of law, and makes them available to all. Trace back from the 11th century to the present day.
British Ancestral Research
Offers a professional genealogical service. Can trace most British families back to the middle of the 1700s and some to the start of parish registers in 1538.
Society of Geneaologists
Offers a combination of research material, guidance and support for those interested in family history. It is a charity whose objects are to "promote, encourage and foster the study, science and knowledge of genealogy".

Genealogical information service for the UK and Ireland, providing invaluable guidance for those just starting out on their quest.

Bogardi.com (Radix): This site, also called Radix, is dedicated to genealogy research in Hungary. The site provides links for professional research services in Hungary and provides access to a few Hungarian databases as well.

AfriGeneas.com: A site devoted to African American genealogy and to researching African Ancestry in the Americas in particular. The site also provides access to more general genealogical research and resources. AfriGeneas is also an African Ancestry research community featuring the AfriGeneas mail list, the AfriGeneas message boards and daily and weekly genealogy chats.
