Word of mouth from individuals in the village. This source must be treated with respect as often memories fade and can on;y go back to the turn of the century.

In all cases care has been taken on this site to state the source of the information. However, the actual publication referred to (for example) make not have any sources quoted within itself.

Corrections to intermediate sources

In some cases text will have been scanned from a publication but minor corrections will be made but only to correct spelling errors, typographical mistakes and in a few cases, grammar.
